1. General Information
The security and confidential treatment of your data is an important and serious concern for Nomad at Home GmbH, which is why only the most modern security standards are used. We treat the data entrusted to us and collected by us as strictly confidential and handle it responsibly. We therefore inform you in accordance with the relevant data protection regulations (GDPR, Data Protection Adaptation Act 2018).
2. Collection and processing of personal data
Your personal data as well as any documents or photographs uploaded by you will be collected and processed by Nomad at Home GmbH for the purpose of processing and transmitting data within the framework of the business relationship with you as a guest or partner (customer, supplier), including electronically created and archived documents (such as correspondence) in these matters.
For this purpose, the following personal data is processed:

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Contact details (address, email address, telephone contact details)
  • Reservation data
  • Payment data

Furthermore, we are legally obliged to register guest registration data in the guest registration system, for the collection and transfer of the local tax as well as the issuance of the WolfgangseeCard for discounts and the Guest Mobility Ticket for free public transport in the province of Salzburg and the Wolfgangsee/Bad Ischl region. For this purpose, electronic reporting in the form of a web client and a direct interface with the registration authority from the company Feratel is used.

Every time our website is accessed, usage data is transmitted by the respective internet browser and stored in log files, known as server log files. This data includes:
IP address of the accessing computer

  • Date and time of access
  • The referrer URL from which the user reached the accessed page
  • Session ID number

3. Purpose of data collection
The primary purpose pursued by Nomad at Home GmbH when collecting personal data is to provide you with a safe, efficient, and personalized use of the service. Personal data is used for the following purposes:

  • Proper fulfillment of the contract, processing of the stay
  • Customization, measurement, and improvement of the service
  • Provision of our products and services

This data comes on the one hand from the entries you make, and where necessary, we also collect further data from publicly accessible registers.

All data collection in connection with the proper fulfillment of the contract is based on Art 6 (1) b GDPR. For sending our newsletter and information etc., we require your consent; the relevant processing of your data is based on Art 6 (1) a GDPR.

Nomad at Home GmbH undertakes to treat your data in accordance with the principles of data protection according to the applicable laws.
4. Disclosure of data, data transfer to third countries
Nomad at Home GmbH does not pass on personal data to third parties. Unless the data subject has given their express consent to this, or there is a legal obligation for Nomad at Home GmbH to disclose this data.

Data is only transmitted to the following companies or institutions on the basis of the legal grounds listed for the purposes mentioned: We use so-called cloud solutions for storing data. It cannot be ruled out that the cloud provider stores data in third countries. However, we only commission cloud providers to store data who demonstrably comply with all data protection requirements and can show certifications such as EU-US Privacy Shield.
5. Cookies and Plugins
Nomad at Home GmbH uses so-called cookies to individually design and optimize the online experience and online time. Cookies contain, for example, information about previous accesses to the corresponding server or information about which offers have been accessed so far.

Cookies are not used to run programs or load viruses onto the user’s computer. Rather, the main purpose of cookies is to provide an offer specifically tailored to the user and to make the use of the service as convenient as possible.

Nomad at Home GmbH currently only uses “session cookies”, which are not stored on the user’s hard drive and are deleted when the browser is closed. Session cookies are used here as functional cookies for the shopping cart and for load balancing (balancing the system load).

Our websites use Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”).
