During this time, you’ll find the world-famous “Christkindlmärkte” at Lake Wolfgangsee. Authentic Christmas markets with a unique atmosphere that even Hollywood couldn’t replicate in its films.
Visit the three Christmas markets around Lake Wolfgangsee with the Wolfgangsee Schifffahrt ferry. Nowhere else in the world can you hop between Christmas markets by boat, right on the shores of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.
The Wolfgangsee Advent offers a mix of local delicacies, homemade punch specialties, and carefully selected gift ideas. Since its opening, the surprisingly creative decorations have drawn a lot of attention. Countless Christmas trees, lanterns, comets, stars, candles, Swedish torches, and fire pits in the three villages never fail to enchant visitors. All three villages around Lake Wolfgang—Sankt Wolfgang, Strobl, and Sankt Gilgen—have a Christmas market, each with its own unique atmosphere.
